Suicide Prevention Coalition

The Johnson County Suicide Prevention Coalition (JCSPC) is a collaboration of community members and organizations working together to reduce the incidence of suicide attempts and suicide completions in Johnson County. Spearheaded by the Crisis Center, the coalition was formed in response to a need expressed in a community town hall meeting during Suicide Prevention Week in September 2009.

Representatives of more than 50 organizations, government agencies and individuals are working together to engage the community in suicide prevention strategies, raise awareness, reduce stigma, educate the public, provide advocacy and assure access to quality resources.
