Food Bank Volunteer Orientation
Wednesday, May 2 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm
More than 200 volunteers help operate the Crisis Center's Food Bank program each week. Special needs for volunteers include:
- All weekday afternoons: Bi-lingual individuals (Spanish, Arabic)
- Fridays, 11:00 am, volunteer(s) with appropriate vehicle needed to pick up non-perishable bulk food items in Coralville, need to be able to lift 50 lbs

If you are interested joining the effort to provide food to our neighbors in need, please visit our Food Bank Volunteer page to learn more. All prospective volunteers must submit a Volunteer Application and be scheduled for an interview prior to Food Bank Volunteer Orientation, currently planned for Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A background check is required as well.
Volunteer shifts/hours cannot be scheduled until the full application process and orientation have been completed. Individuals must be at least 14 years old to work in the Food Bank without the supervision of a parent, grandparent, guardian or other adult companion.
