Crisis Center Receives CONTACT USA Accreditation

After a 9 month process, the Crisis Center of Johnson County was notified on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 that it has received CONTACT USA accreditation.
Long respected as a leader in the field of crisis line accreditation, CONTACT USA is one of the only programs in the country devoted to establishing and maintaining standards of service at crisis lines, warm-lines, and reassurance calling programs. Accreditation offers an agency the respect and credibility that comes with knowing that their service has met a nationally recognized set of requirements ensuring high quality and ethical practices.
Congratulations to our crisis intervention staff for their hard work and preparation, and especially to our dedicated volunteers who operate the 24-Hour Crisis Line! This is a major milestone for the Crisis Center as we celebrate our 40th anniversary of serving the community.
