Save Bottles & Cartons for Repackaging

When The Crisis Center receives bulk dry good donations or even a large container of laundry detergent, our volunteers repackage items to provide a week's supply to many families instead of an overbundance for just one households.

Items that we can use for repackaging include:

  • Empty plastic bottles with lids (from water, soda, teas, etc.)
  • Small plastic containers with lids (yogurt, butter, margarine, etc.)
  • Quart and gallon "zip-style" plastic bags
  • Plastic bags from newspaper deliveries (great for wrapping individual toilet paper rolls!)

Donating Repackaging Items

Please bring clean bottles and containers packaged together with the lids. All items can be dropped off at The Crisis Center's Food Bank on Mondays through Fridays between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Enter the south parking lot and go to the brown double doors on the west end of the building.

Dropoff is also available inside our main door (with the green arch) any day between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

If this has been a group project and you would like a photo opportunity and/or tour, please contact Beth Ritter Ruback via email at beth.ruback@jccrisiscenter.org or by phone at (319) 351-2726 ext. 108.
