The Crisis Center is involved in three major events each year -- Thanksgiving in July, the Out of the Darkness Walk in September and Project Holiday in December. Individuals and groups are needed to help in a variety of ways, with little or no training required.
If you, your organization, church group, or employees might be interested in volunteering at a Crisis Center event, sign-up to receive our monthly E-newsletter which includes information about these volunteer needs. You can also visit our News & Events section to check out upcoming opportunities.
In addition to our own events, we are incredibly fortunate that other organizations and businesses conduct food drives and fundraisers on our behalf throughout the year. Volunteers may be needed – sometimes on very short notice – to host a donation drop-off point, pick up donations at other locations, or help unload and sort large donations here in the Food Bank warehouse. Typically little to no training is required, just time and transportation.
If you have questions about becoming an event volunteer or would like to request Crisis Center volunteers for your food drive or fundraising effort, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
