Create Birthday Bags

A great idea for an individual or group service project is creating Birthday Bags. The Crisis Center distributes bags filled with party-making needs for children aged 3 – 15. Create one or more bags or collect a particular item, such as cake mix or birthday candles. The Birthday Bag Guide is a handy printable that lists everything needed to make a special day for a child.

What's in a Bag?

Birthday bags contain the items necessary to create a birthday party. To be fair to all clients and children, it is important that every bag’s contents be uniform. We ask that no extra items are added, just follow the list exactly.

You can help make a birthday special for a child by providing:

  • An extra large gift bag
  • 2 foil cake tins, round
  • Cake mix
  • Container of frosting
  • Package of birthday candles
  • 8 party plates, napkins & cups, any color or theme, please note appropriate age/gender
  • 8 party favors such as candy, pencils, lip balm, etc. (may include up to 3 sets of 8)
  • A book (preferred) or toy as a birthday gift, please note appropriate age/gender

Delivery of Bags

Completed Birthday Bags or content items can be dropped off at the Crisis Center's Food Bank on Mondays through Fridays between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Enter the south parking lot and go to the brown double doors on the west end of the building.

Dropoff is also available inside our main door (with the green arch) any day between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
